Careprost Bimatoprost 0.03%w/w offers an excellent ophthalmic solution and it’s proven to treat the weak growth of eyelashes, glaucoma and hypertension in the eye(s). This prostaglandin analog medication is relatively safe and effective and promises positive effects to the eye vision.

About Bimatoprost:

Bimatoprost ophthalmic solution 0.03 is a well-known eye care medication probably recommended to treat the problems like hypotrichosis of eyelashes or inadequate eyelashes, excess eye tension and glaucoma, as it can reduce intraocular pressure. This medication helps you stimulate the growth of eyelashes so they are more noticeable as well as thicker, darker and longer. It has prostaglandin – the chemical components that are similar to a natural chemical in the body. Bimatoprost is available under the trade name Careprost, which is produced by Sun Pharma.

Recommended dosage and direction:

Follow the instruction provided on the medication label carefully before using Bimatoprost eye drops. You need not apply it on both eyes if only one eye needs treatment then use this medication on the affected one only. Usually, this medication is recommended to apply once daily and it should be taken strictly as per the direction of your doctor. Don’t alter its dose or take overdose unless your doctor suggests you to do so. Do not apply Bimatoprost ophthalmic eye drops while you are wearing contact lenses, as soft contact lenses can absorb its preservative ingredients. Try to avoid contact lenses or any makeup at least for 15 minutes after the application of Bimatoprost.

Apply the medication across the upper eyelid margin at the bottom of the eyelashes covering inner part of the lash line to the outer part. Normally, one application stick is recommended for one-time use. Precautions:

Bimatoprost interaction:

It’s safe to tell your doctor about all the medications that you take all along with Careprost Bimatoprost. There is a possibility of interaction of this drug with herbal products as well as vitamins and nutritional supplements. It’s better to avoid wearing soft contact lenses that could absorb medication for 15-20 minutes after application. Don’t use it with other eye drops at the same time; rather wait for at least 5 minutes after applying one medication.

Missed dose and overdose:

Don’t try to compensate the missed dose of Careprost 0.03% eye drops by overdosing next application. It’s advised to take a normal dose as usual. And in a case of overdose, you should contact your doctor to seek medication attention. Maybe an overdose of medication makes your eye more sensitive to light, so avoid it.
